You may be eligible for a free vaccine if you have any of the following:

  • Aged 65 years or older
  • Cardiovascular Disease
  • Chronic Respiratory Disease
  • Chronic Renal Disease
  • Diabetes
  • Cancer
  • Pregnancy
  • Other conditions may apply - Please ask the Practice Nurse.

We strongly recommend vaccination for all patients with these conditions. Please contact us if you need help with transport.

The Human Papillomavirus Vaccine is now free for males aged 9-26 years.

This immunisation helps protect against a number of viruses that can cause several cancers in both men and women, and is most effective when given early.

The Public Health Service covers the school-based immunistaions only they cannot offer this vaccine to boys over 12 years.

This is available through the Medical Centre free of charge.

12-14 year old's receive 2 doses and 15 years and older receive 3 doses.
